Pashiz (Bronze, 26 mm, 4.24 g), Arab-Sasanian type, citing Farrukhzad (AH 75-79 / AD 695-699), Gōr (present-day Firuzabad), year 104 Khosrau era = AH 75. Draped Sasanian-style bust to right, wearing elaborate crown; behind head, ‘GDE ʾp̄zwt’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘[plhw]zʾt’ = ‘Farroxzād’ (‘Farrukhzad’ in Pahlavi). Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; to left, date in Pahlavi; to right, ‘[gw]bl’ = ‘Gōr’ (name of the mint in Pahlavi). Album 41A. Gyselen 16. Zeno-204930 (this coin). Extremely rare. Weak strike and with an edge crack, otherwise, fine.
